Our Story

Our founder Chloe started Generation World in 2020 out of personal experiences, a passion for inclusion, and the belief that everybody has the right to wellness. Diagnosed at a young age with a genetic bleeding disorder, Chloe was forced to step away from traditional sports and high-impact activities. What originally felt like the end of her athletic life turned into a redirection that allowed her to discover the healing power that regular practicing of yoga and meditation not only has on the body but even more importantly the mind.

As Chloe’s yoga practice deepened, so did her desire to share it, especially with others who, like her, may have been told they didn’t belong in typical spaces, whether that be in sports or just in any traditional area of society. Chloe became a certified yoga instructor in hopes of sharing the power of yoga with all communities.

That passion led to the founding of Generation World, a nonprofit dedicated to making adaptive yoga accessible to individuals with intellectual, mental, and physical disabilities. Chloe believes that every person, regardless of diagnosis or ability, deserves access to wellness practices that foster peace, community, and empowerment. All elements of the organization’s work are grounded in empathy, equity, and healing.
